Garment Care
Before Washing
- Check the Care Label: Always follow the instructions on the care label inside your Bellwether garment.
- Turn Garment Inside Out: Prevents snagging on zippers, buttons, and other items during wash.
- Wash Separately When Possible: Especially avoid washing with items containing Velcro, which can damage performance fabrics.
Washing Instructions
- Use Cold Water Only: Machine wash with cold water (max 30°C / 85°F).
- Select the Right Cycle: Choose permanent press cycle if available, it helps reduce wrinkles by cooling fabric before the final spin.
- Use Mild Detergent: Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, and fabric softeners.
- Wash with Similar Colours: Prevent colour bleeding or migration by washing darks and lights separately.
- Avoid Dry Cleaning: It can damage the garment’s construction and leave an unwanted sheen.
Drying Instructions
- Remove Promptly After Wash: Prevents wrinkling and potential dye transfer.
- Hang to Dry Immediately: Never leave the garment crumpled or lay it upon itself.
- Do Not Machine Dry: Avoid the dryer completely as heat can damage technical fabrics.
- Do Not Wring Out Garment: Twisting or wringing can cause permanent fabric damage.
Ironing
- Cool iron only if necessary.
- Use the lowest setting on synthetic blends.
- Test a hidden area (like bottom hem) before ironing entire garment.
